Capital One Financial Ranked #1 on Trade Pub Scorecard
Bank Director magazine said in a news release on its 2012 Bank Performance Scorecard for institutions with $50 billion or more in assets that Capital One Financial was ranked #1 on the basis of profitability, capital levels and loan quality. The report was predicated on 2011 financial performance.
Rounding out the top five, the trade magazine said that Huntington Bancshares, Wells Fargo, KeyCorp and Fifth Third Bancorp were ranked #2 through #5, in descending order. There were 19 banks ranked in this category.
