NACCO’s Lift Truck Group Y/Y Shipments Up 33%
NACCO Materials Handling Group reported full year 2011 revenues of $2.5 billion were up from $1.8 billion in 2010. The maker of Yale and Hyster brand lift trucks, said shipments in 2011 increased 33% to 79,700 units from 60,000 units in 2010.

Jungheinrich Says YTD Global Material Handling Market Up 33%
The Jungheinrich Group said the global market for material handling equipment expanded by 33% to 505.2 thousand forklifts in the first half of 2011 compared to 379.0 thousand units in 2010.

Higher Materials Handling Volume Lifts NACCO’s Performance
NACCO Industries said its Q2 Material Handling Group’s net income was up 163% on significantly higher unit sales volume. Worldwide shipments increased to 19,400 units compared to 13,800 units shipped in the same year-ago period.

Material Handling Equipment Orders Expected to Grow 11% in 2011
According to the Material Handling Industry of America, material handling equipment new orders are expected to grow 11%-12% in 2011/2012, after increasing 22.4% in 2010.

ProMat Attendees to Spend $75 Billion on Materials Handling Equipment
Trade publication Modern Materials Handling noted in a recent article that attendees at this year’s ProMat conference are planning to spend $75 billion on materials handling equipment in the next year and a half.
