Five Point Capital Announces Vendor Advantage Program
Five Point Capital said it has introduced a new program to generate business referrals from vendors it has served in the past. Named the Vendor Advantage Program, vendors that sign up are provided access to sales and support tools from Five Point Capital to help find financing for customers that want help to purchase equipment.
“Small businesses that need to acquire additional or replacement equipment can find the product through local stores or other sales representatives,” says Dave Gilbert, CEO of Five Pont Capital. “What they can’t find all the time is the financing to help them buy the equipment. Banks haven’t been aggressively serving this type of customer for a long time. So it is alternative lenders like Five Point Capital that have come in to fill this need.”
Since his return to the company as CEO in February of this year, Gilbert has brought in new management and new processes. “I saw a lot of opportunity in both the marketplace and in the company itself. The leasing business is a growth opportunity. And if we want to grow as much as I think we can, one of the areas we need to penetrate is serving the vendor marketplace. It is a pretty common way to generate business in our industry, and we have not put the focus on it we could. Since we already work with thousands of vendors every year, it is a pretty simple next step to start asking them for more business.”
