Fleet Advantage Promotes Meehan to VP Sales/Marketing

Fleet Advantage said it has promoted Mike Meehan to vice president, sales and marketing from his prior position as a regional vice president of sales, where he originated $100 million in new equipment leases.

Meehan has more than 25 years of experience in the transportation industry and is well versed in all aspects of truck transportation/logistics and equipment financing, as well as Fleet Advantage’s advanced analytical and financing products. Prior to joining Fleet Advantage, Meehan spent more than two decades with Ryder Systems, working his way up through the ranks to the position of director of national accounts in charge of a substantial, eight-figure portfolio of business.

Meehan’s responsibilities with Fleet Advantage as vice president, sales and marketing will include managing the company’s sales team based out of four hubs throughout the U.S. and coordinating services and offerings for the company’s 3,200 vehicle fleet. His work to drive new business development includes expansion of the company’s lease origination sales team and overseeing the corporate marketing program.

“Fleet Advantage is growing at an exponential rate and Mike has the experience and skills to lead our sales and marketing operations effectively as we add more Fortune 500 companies to our client roster,” said John Flynn, chief executive officer of Fleet Advantage. “He consistently brings fresh, innovative ideas to transactions and we are excited to see him put his imagination and business savvy to work in communicating our unique value proposition to the corporate fleets we serve.”
