Gulfstream Business Jet Order Activity ‘Robust’



General Dynamics reported that Gulfstream deliveries, including both “green” and “outfitted”, in the second quarter and first six months of 2014 were 71 and 145 units, respectively compared to 71 and 130 units one year earlier. New large-cabin deliveries of 52 and 114 in Q2/14 and HI/14 compared to 60 and 110 in the same periods in 2013.

Gulfstream mid-cabin deliveries in the first six months of 2014 were 31 versus 20 in the first half of 2013. The company also noted there were five pre-owned deliveries in 2014 compared to three in 2013.

Commenting on backlog, Phebe N. Novakovic, General Dynamics’ chairman and chief executive said, “We have a solid building block for the future with an increased defense backlog and robust order activity across the portfolio of Gulfstream business jets.”
