Komatsu Says China Construction Equipment Market has Cooled
Reuters reported that a Komatsu executive said the overall market in China for construction equipment has cooled, and the excavator maker has seen little impact on sales from anti-Japanese sentiment stemming from the Japanese government’s purchase of disputed islands in the East China Sea.
The article said Komatsu expects demand for construction and mining equipment in China to fall by around 40% in October-December from a year earlier, citing CFO Mikio Fujitsuka.
