LEAF Commercial Capital announced that industry veteran Ike Long has joined the company as national sales manager in the information technology and telecommunications financing segment. In this role, he will lead the company’s rapid expansion in the IT and managed services spaces.

With over 17 years in the leasing and finance industry, Long has achieved considerable success selling to VARs and telecommunications accounts. He also brings extensive financing experience to LEAF. He has spent more than 15 years in various sales roles at De Lage Landen, and most recently worked at Summit Funding Group as a business development officer.

Long will lead the expansion of LEAF’s field sales presence and work closely with LEAF’s rapidly growing team of dedicated tele-account managers. Together they provide specialized focus and support to LEAF’s Value Added Resellers (VARs) in the IT and telecom markets, and provide the expertise necessary for LEAF’s major push into the facilitation of managed services.

LEAF has positioned its core offering, the LEAF 360° Solution, to align with the industry shift to integrated technology platforms. With this approach, LEAF can finance virtually every facet of an office operation, well beyond copiers and printers. Computers, software, network infrastructure, security, supporting services, and in some cases even furniture and fixtures are part of this new approach.

“We have the ability to fully support the financing of all of the integrated technologies that hang off of a network, including cloud based and third party solutions,” said Vincent Faino, senior vice president of Sales for LEAF. “As these technologies continue to converge, the way that companies buy and deploy office and technology equipment is changing dramatically. We see it as strategically essential to operate as the hub of this technological convergence by financing as many value components within these integrated systems as possible. Ike Long will play a key role in this process.”

Faino added, “We have significant growth opportunities in the information technology and telecommunications market segments. LEAF’s new sales team will enable us to expand our reach in this market, increase the number of VAR’s that partner with LEAF, and generate a sustainable, steady flow of new leasing and financing business. Going forward, the addition of Ike Long and his team will ensure that LEAF continues to provide the elevated level of service and support that defines LEAF 360°. It’s what our partners have come to expect of us and our brand.”
