Airbus A321 Stirs CIT Interest as Replacement for 757



Bloomberg reported that CIT’s Transportation Finance unit is a likely buyer of Airbus’s proposed long-range A321neo.

Citing a telephone interview, Bloomberg quoted CIT Transportation Finance president Jeff Knittel as saying, “Considering that we were a launch customer on the neo program, certainly we believe that the A321 long-range plane makes sense.” The 757 replacement market is “currently an underserved market which could exhibit good growth in years to come.”
