Investor Confidence in International Shipping Weakened in 2016



Hellenic Shipping News reported that there was a collapse in orders for new ships as investors’ confidence in market prospects weakened at a staggering pace in 2016.

Shipping News noted that expectations are that bulk carrier newbuilding deliveries will decline at a sevre rate in 2017. By contrast Shipping News said the tanker sector, as well as container ship deliveries, could remain on the high end.
