Marks & Associates opened a new office in downtown Atlanta and added Ian J. Platt as a shareholder. Platt will work primarily out of the Atlanta office along, while founding shareholder Barry S. Marks will spend time in both the Atlanta and Marks & Associates’ home office in Birmingham, AL.

Platt, formerly in-house counsel with a major U. S. finance company brings to the firm more than 20 years of experience in inventory financing, asset-based lending and other commercial and corporate matters, as well as adding his expertise to the firm’s equipment leasing and finance practice.
