Volvo Rents Appoints Mike Crouch VP/Business Development



Volvo Rents appointed Mike Crouch vice president of business development, a new position within the company as it plans a new growth phase through expansion opportunities, according to the Rental Equipment Register.

The article notes that Crouch is a 34-year veteran in the construction equipment rental industry, with 10 years in senior management roles for Volvo Rents in North America and Europe. Crouch was vice president, operations for Volvo Rents in North America from 2004 through 2011, and from 2002-2004, he was vice president, Europe for Volvo Rents. Crouch will be responsible for pursuing acquisition opportunities for Volvo Rents.

According to the article, Volvo Rents plans to operate a franchise network of rental centers, as well as manage and grow a network of company-owned stores. Last month, the Volvo Group established Volvo Rents as a stand-alone subsidiary of AB Volvo in order to increase its capabilities in growing the business.
