Orion First Financial Announces New President/COO

Orion First Financial’s founder Dave Schaefer announced that longtime officer and EVP of operations Shannon Green has assumed the role of president and COO. Schaefer said he would continue his involvement as chairman and CEO to focus on strategic initiatives. Prior to teaming with Orion in 2003, Green worked as vice president of operations with Financial Pacific Leasing.
“When Shannon joined our team back in 2003 I said that she would be an invaluable asset. Over the past ten years she has proven her value to Orion and its clients. This new role for Shannon is a natural transition and a seamless one…she’s the right person at the right time to lead Orion through its next stage of growth,” added Schaefer.
As president and COO, Green is responsible for overall business operations, including management and administration, client relationships, business operating policies, procedures, organization, staffing and human resources. As part of the executive officer group, Green participates in strategic planning and implementation management for key revenue growth, portfolio management and business development initiatives.
“I am excited to assume the responsibility of president and COO at Orion. With 20-plus years of diverse management history in small-ticket commercial leasing, I feel I am uniquely prepared for this opportunity. This is a strategic time for our company, in that we have spent the last couple of years in survival mode; focused on utilization of technology and process efficiencies. Our management team and staff have emerged stronger, more energetic and eager to pursue our calculated growth plans,” said Green.
