Survey: The Real Deal on UCC Article 9

Corporation Service Company (CSC) announced it has concluded and released the results of its survey of UCC Article 9 professionals.

CSC’s goal was to assemble the first-ever comprehensive overview of UCC Article 9 best practices and insights from UCC professionals at all levels with lenders, leasing enterprises, factoring organizations and law firms. The survey sought to finally answer the question: What are your peers doing?

More than 2,000 professionals contributed to the survey. Topics included the 2010 Amendments to UCC Article 9, UCC searching and filing procedures, and industry resources. Respondents were entered into a random drawing for one of four tablet computers.

“We are extremely pleased with the response to our survey, and thankful for the support of those who took the time to contribute,” said Mark Rosser, vice president for CSC. “Our challenge now is to get the information we’ve collected out to the industry, and we have a number of educational pieces planned for this year to help get the word out.”

CSC’s first step was to create an infographic that visualizes the most significant trends from the survey. To view a free, online copy of this infographic click here. A free print version of the infographic is also available for download.

“We hope the results of our survey help answer some of the common questions we hear about how companies are managing UCC workflows and risks,” Rosser said. “We’re proud to continue our long tradition of leading the UCC Article 9 industry with education and superior service.”
