U.S. Bank ABF Appoints SVPs
U.S. Bank Asset Based Finance said it has named J. Michael Smith as SVP based in Atlanta and Bobby Bans as SVP based in Los Angeles.
Smith will have responsibility for the origination and structuring of asset-based loans in the Southeast region.
“J. Michael’s experience with new business development will support our continued growth in this region,” said Jim Doyle, national manager -business development, U.S. Bank Asset Based Finance. “We are pleased to have him join our team.”
Smith has more than 25 years of experience in all facets of the lending process including new business development, credit and special assets. He has held positions at National Bank of Canada, PNC Business Credit and Royal Bank of Scotland.
Bans will focus on the origination and structuring of asset-based loans for the Western region’s expanding base of commercial clientele. He has more than 15 years of experience in underwriting, portfolio management and business development. Previously, he served as senior vice president in the Business Capital division at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and has also held leadership positions at Bank of New York and GMAC Commercial Finance.
