Amy Ventling Hester is a vendor finance veteran with more than 35 years of experience. She brings a wealth of knowledge to her current role as U.S. president and general manager of hard assets at DLL. In this role, she manages DLL’s food and agriculture and construction, transportation and industrial business.

Ventling Hester’s progression within DLL has fostered her wide-ranging expertise in sales and marketing, financial analysis and credit, Within every role she’s taken on, she has placed an emphasis on communication and relationship building while leading the charge for women in equipment finance. Ventling Hester inspires those around her and knows that women bring a different dynamic to the room

Hester holds an ILM Level 7 Certificate in Executive Coaching and Mentoring, the highest level of coaching qualification available. Using her abilities to engage and motivate people through inspiration, empathy and leadership, Ventling Hester has become a sought-after coach, consultant and mentor. She has also coached DLL members around the world through a variety of life experiences related to their work and personal lives. She

is passionate about the development of DLL members and works to empower individuals. While she believes her passion is beneficial, she also recognizes that the opportunity to better connect with a diverse population of DLL members and understand the challenges that they face has empowered her to be a more empathic leader.

Leveraging her years of mentoring experience, Ventling Hester challenges gender biases and inequalities at DLL. Through her leadership, initiative and support, Ventling Hester and DLL’s talent acquisition team have worked to make the first round of job applicant resume reviews at the company unbiased in terms of gender and ethnicity by removing applicants’ names, According to Ventling Hester, doing this helps hiring managers choose applicants for an interview based on their experience and qualifications without unconscious biases interfering,

Hester doesn’t shy away from a challenge and has been involved in the launch of several new programs and products, both at DLL and at her previous stops at companies such as AGCO Finance, a DLL joint venture with AGCO Corporation. These projects have included forming an extended service coverage program and a revolving credit product for parts and service financing at her previous company. Hester was also instrumental in the development and implementation of the highly successful Holmes Murphy Insurance relationship at DLL, resulting in millions of dollars in income for the company. In addition, reimagining DLL’s Des Moines, IA-based office in the last year, Hester delivered a facility that is collaborative, friendly and accessible, Her inclusive and engaging leadership style has created a space that fuels innovation and teamwork and fosters an environment where employees want to come into the office.
