During Chelsey Barron’s nine years at VAR Technology Finance, she has held various support positions, leading to her current role as vice president of sales operations. In that role, she oversees and manages account management and sales support teams. Working with IT manufacturers and channel partners, her team is tasked with helping customers find customized payment solutions to fit their needs.
Barron’s role is focused on implementing greater efficiencies from the beginning of the sales cycle throughout the life of the lease while also creating unique finance solutions. As a leader, she strives to let every team member know how important they are to VAR Technology Finance.
“My personal mission is to focus on establishing long-lasting relationships,” Barron says. “I challenge my team daily to ask themselves: ‘What am I doing today that will have an impact on the business or organization I am working with?’ I am a firm believer in relationships. How we interact with our peers and leaders within our organization translates to how we interact with our partners and customers. If we are focused on building solid relationships, the business will come.”
Barron would like to see the equipment finance industry continue its investment in younger generations, specifically building on established platforms that promote young leaders to create awareness of the unique opportunities the industry offers.
