Michelle Speranza has been with LEAF Commercial Capital since 2005, joining the company as marketing manager and moving on to vice president of Marketing Communications before landing in her current role as senior vice president, chief marketing officer. During that time, LEAF saw tremendous growth. Speranza is proud to have been part of the company’s growth story from the early days when she began building what’s become an industry-leading marketing organization. She continues to leverage those years of marketing and business experience in working alongside the rest of the senior leadership team to define and implement LEAF’s future strategic plan.
VISION FOR THE FUTURE: “I think our industry and most others will benefit from an increasingly representative workforce. It’s taken decades to get here, but I think we’re at a tipping point, and it wouldn’t surprise me if there’s more progress in the next 10 years than in the previous 50.” |
A regular contributor to The Cannata Report, ENX Magazine, Imaging Channel Magazine, Equipment Finance Advisor, Monitor and other publications, Speranza also serves on Monitor’s first-ever editorial board, where she works with other industry leaders to develop focused ideas and content that reflect the changing needs of the magazine’s audience. She also serves on the ELFA’s Women’s Council and previously served as a chair of the Communications Committee.
As a woman in an industry historically led predominantly by men, Speranza has a passion for encouraging women to pursue leadership positions and for providing platforms from which their voices can be heard. She played a founding role in bringing Women in Leadership to Philadelphia, LEAF’s corporate home. Created by People’s United Bank, Women in Leadership promotes diversity and inclusion by building strong relationships across 11 regional chapters throughout the Northeast.
“Tenacious and capable, with a remarkable aptitude for leadership, Michelle has always been a uniquely valuable part of our organization. From building a cutting-edge marketing department from the ground up and keeping us at the forefront of marketing technology to serving on the team responsible for charting LEAF’s strategic direction, both her work and her approach to it have earned the respect and admiration of her peers, not just in our company but throughout the industry, for which she is an influential voice and champion,” says Miles Herman, president and COO of LEAF Commercial Capital. “She has been and continues to be a great asset to LEAF and its shareholders, our customers, our partners, and the industry as a whole.”
