by Monitor Staff Nov/Dec 2021

Jena K. Morgan, CLFP,
Chief Operating Officer,
KLC Financial

Jena Morgan leads the operations team of KLC Financial. She strives to remove roadblocks from the sales cycle, to enhance productivity from people and to deliver a suburb customer experience. Morgan’s vision for ongoing improvement, drive for execution on deliverables and deep love for helping people get where they want to go makes her a unique leader.

VISION FOR THE FUTURE:

“I am a technology visionary who has been able to see the impact technology and data can have on both the customer experience and operational excellence. I am passionate about taking visions from great ideas to people and profit powerhouses. I believe the equipment finance industry can be the leader in technology deployment rather than the follower.”

“Jena’s uniqueness comes from her application of operational discipline and technology vision in an industry that thrives on relationships. Jena has natural empathy for the relationships but knows that one cannot scale a business with an emotional or instinct-based decision-making process. She is a strong advocate of and innovator using data and technology in operations management,” Scott Nelson, chief digital officer of Tamarack Technology, says. “Jena has been a key advocate and partner to Tamarack in the development and deployment of a new data-based operating system for equipment finance at KLC. She brought a clear vision and rigor to the deployment of the system to improve productivity and profit at KLC. She has been a consistent early adopter of technology in equipment finance who gives back to the industry through the NEFA and ELFA associations as well as personal relationships and recommendations.”

Morgan most recently participated on a panel at the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association’s 60th Annual Convention about how members of Gen Y are changing the equipment finance industry from a demographic, technology, labor force and economic perspective. This is a topic she is passionate about and she sees it as a privilege to be able to share it with others in the industry. She hopes the industry takes this data and knowledge to drive business growth to create great places to work for employees. Morgan was also honored to be a member of the Certified Lease & Finance Professional Foundation’s body of knowledge committee in 2021 and is looking forward to being on the CLFP’s board of directors in 2022 as the National Equipment Finance Association liaison. She is an avid advocate for these organizations and the continuation of their strong partnership. She is excited to volunteer in these capacities.
