The position is responsible for accurate, complete and timely due diligence assessment and document preparation for various loan and lease transactions. This also includes funding, booking and creating a complete closing package for review and retention. This position manages the closing process for all stakeholders including sales officers, credit management, vendors, and external legal counsel to ensure all conditions of the closing process are met and satisfied to client expectations.
Prepare complete sets of documentation and ensure that all packages are accurate, comply with regulatory requirements, and contain correct terms, conditions and security documentation.
Maintain efforts to coordinate successful execution of required due diligence items including, but not limited to:
Proof of insurance.
UCC-1, UCC-3, PMSI or Subordination preparation.
Invoices and proof of payment.
MSO and titles.
Verify appropriate sales tax treatment.
Work with the sales officer to complete the execution of documentation.
Work with vendors and customers to obtain equipment invoices and coordinate the processing of payment(s) with Accounting.
Collaborate with internal and external customers to solve issues and recommend process improvements, when needed.
Works with the Controller to coordinate payoffs and restructures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Required:
BA or BS degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Minimum five years of relevant industry experience within equipment finance.
Comprehensive knowledge of equipment finance documentation, including security perfection.
Understanding of various loan and lease structures and their corresponding documentation.
Ability to transfer bank policy and underwriting requirements into a complete closing package that mitigates risk.
Ability to deal with multiple tasks and deadlines.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
