Director of Operations

Position Overview:

The Director of Operations will be a core member of the Company’s  leadership team, responsible for defining, building, and leading the company’s operations. The Director of Operations’ primary responsibility will be for defining and building the core processes from origination to asset management.  While the purpose of this role in the first 6 – 12 months is standup of the processes, workflows and corresponding systems, the purpose will change as the business matures to refining those processes and building the team to support.  This role requires a dynamic, results-oriented leader with deep industry knowledge and ability to function in a high-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, Documenting and Executing the Processes and Workflow for:
    • Origination of equipment leases
    • Invoicing
    • Collections
    • Creation, execution and maintenance of documents
    • Application of cash
    • End of life processing (renewal/ buyout / return)
    • Customer issues and handling

The Director of Operations will work closely with the company’s IT leader to ensure process maps are translated to the system’s build to support.

 

  • Maintaining and refining the above processes to meet best-in-class KPIs and metrics
    • In collaboration with the CEO, head of sales and leader of risk, the Director of Operations will set performance hurdles for each of the operations functions that will need to be maintained
  • Interface with Clients to Close Deals
    • Obtaining required documents from clients to close deals
    • Booking transaction in systems
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting
    • This role will have responsibility for monitoring the operational performance, producing reporting and correcting for any deviations from targets
  • Customer Service and Experience
    • Handle customer questions and inquiries

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years in an operations role in the mid-to large ticket leasing space
  • Familiarity with technology landscape to support lease operations
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive and hands-on mentality; thrives in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
  • Able to build credibility and trust with executive-level clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically.
  • Financial acumen, with a grasp of deal structuring
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced degree (MBA or related field) is a plus.
