Position Overview:

We’re looking for a strategic leader to take the reins of our Syndication Department – someone who thrives on building relationships, structuring deals, and driving growth. This role leads all things syndication, from originating and structuring transactions to managing buy- and sell-side activity with independent lessors, banks, insurance companies, and other capital markets players. You’ll also directly manage a dedicated support team member and collaborate closely with internal and external partners to scale our syndication efforts.

Already have deep experience in this space but don’t live nearby? No problem. For the right candidate, we’re open to relocation support or a remote home-office setup with occasional travel to our Evansville, Indiana headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all syndication transactions, including both buy-side and sell-side activities, in alignment with the overall business objectives.
  • Prepare and present transaction write-ups, commitment letters, pricing specifications, and related documentation for review and approval.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external sources to complete underwriting packages, covenant requirements, and legal agreements.
  • Ensure all documentation is compliant with internal policies by working closely with the Compliance and Legal departments.
  • Oversee the preparation and negotiation of Offering Memoranda and secure optimal terms for buy and sell transactions.
  • Execute non-disclosure agreements and maintain strong working relationships with all syndication sources.
  • Manage syndication pipeline reporting and consolidate source activity to track departmental performance.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing dynamics, and competitive behaviors to inform deal structuring and syndication strategies.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in loan syndications, capital markets, structured finance, or leveraged finance, preferably within a non-bank lender or middle-market finance environment.
  • Proven track record of executing syndicated transactions and raising capital from institutional investors.
  • Strong financial acumen, including understanding of credit markets, loan documentation, and deal structuring.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial drive and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing organization.
  • Able to build credibility and trust with executive-level clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field required; advanced degree (MBA or related field) is a plus.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary aligned with experience and performance
  • Commission-based bonus opportunities
  • Comprehensive medical benefits
  • 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with Company Match, including Roth option
  • Flexible Spending Accounts and/or Health Savings Accounts, including potential for company contributions based on annual health risk assessments
  • Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance
  • Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance
  • Supplemental Voluntary Insurance Policies with options for Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, and Accidents
  • Paid Time Off for Vacation, Sick, and Holidays
