Somerset Capital Group, Ltd. is offering an entry level position, structured to support growth within our organization, with clear expectations for development and training. The Junior PA will be introduced and trained on Somerset’s systems; shadow experienced Portfolio Administrators; and learn best practices to manage accounts and customers (internal & external). Additionally, Somerset is in the process of a system transition with an expected completion date in late 2025. The entire Portfolio Admin team, inclusive of this position, are integral to Somerset’s successful conversion.

The expectation is that this candidate will transition to a full-time Portfolio Administrator within twelve months. The Junior PA will be evaluated at periodic intervals to ensure they are sufficiently prepared to accomplish the following responsibilities of a full-time Portfolio Administrator.

Portfolio Administrator:

The primary responsibility of a Portfolio Administrator is understanding the nuances of the assigned account relationships. Core responsibilities of this position are to validate, track and maintain compliance during the lease contract’s lifecycle. This role is trusted to maintain accurate data throughout SCG’s systems and serve as the primary point of contact for assigned transactions.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the internal primary point of contact working closely with our Billing, Cash Applications, Sales, Lease Administration and Collection departments.
  • Minimize and resolve discrepancies between multiple system records, assist in finding mutually beneficial resolutions to any concerns.
  • Provide professional, timely and accurate service to customers and internal personnel.
  • Maintain open communication with assigned sales reps on mid and end-of-term activity.
  • Ensure proper term notices (Statutory and Advisory) have been sent, received and entered the Lease System.
  • Manage the equipment return process.
    • This includes providing proper return instructions, updating systems; sending out returned equipment audits and providing backup for missing or damaged asset invoices as needed
  • Document and process all sales for Lease transactions within assigned portfolio
  • Communicate and modify lease details as necessary during the term of the Lease.
    • This will require accurate and clear communication with the Billing, Cash Apps and Collections departments
    • Accurately input, update and maintain account records
    • Work with Original Lessor for lease rent reductions and asset relocations as applicable (based upon partial returns, sales of assets or releases)
  • Special Projects may be assigned from time to time as needed in order to ensure data integrity in connection with system upgrades and conversions.

Requirement/Skills:

  • Ability to function and transition in and out multiple systems/software platforms.
  • Clear and concise communication with the ability to process and evaluate situations from multiple points of view.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and good organizational skills.
  • The ability to flourish in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Excel including Pivot Tables & Vlookup functions.

Part time hourly to Full time salaried
