This position, which reports to REF’s SVP, is responsible for originating equipment finance transactions within their assigned geographic coverage area. The individual must be a results driven self-starter, capable of working independently to continuously screen their territory for equipment finance prospects and maintain a sustained cold-calling strategy. The Originator must understand and incorporate Radius Bank Equipment Finance’s target market criteria (credit profile, pricing, and structuring) in their originations strategy. The VP, Direct Originations must have a strong understanding of the sales process, excel at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals. The ideal candidate will have proven sales experience, working knowledge of MS Office, CRM (Salesforce), familiarity with analyzing financial statements, and excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
Meet monthly, and annual sales quotas through the successful implementation of sales strategies and tactics
Generate leads and build relationships – planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing and potential customer prospects
Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
Reach out to customer prospects through a sustained cold calling strategy
Communicate and coordinate with REF team members (Sales, Credit, Operations) on all pipeline prospects
Responsible for administrative duties as required.
Be available for overtime as the need arises.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
5+ years sales experience in the equipment finance industry
Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Proficiency with CRM software and prospecting databases (Westlaw, Capital IQ)
