Mitsubishi HC Capital America (MHCAVS) is seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Technology vertical. In this role, you will identify, build, and expand relationships with technology manufacturers, distributors, resellers, and service providers to structure tailored financial solutions. Your mission is to help our technology partners succeed by leveraging our full suite of vendor financing products, including solutions for software, hardware, SaaS, and managed services.
We are looking for someone with deep familiarity with the technology ecosystem—someone who understands the sales cycles, buying behaviors, and capital needs unique to this fast-paced, innovation-driven sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology Market Development:
Identify and engage 50+ high-potential Vendors within the Technology vertical, including IT infrastructure, SaaS, cybersecurity, cloud services, and managed IT. Prioritize a core pipeline of 10 Vendors in active negotiation for new financing programs.
- Sales Origination:
Close new Vendor relationships generating at least $2 million annually in lease volume, with a focus on financing of IT hardware, software, and subscription-based solutions.
- Vendor Relationship Management:
Lead executive-level relationships and expand financial programs with technology partners currently generating $2MM+ in funded volume annually.
- Consultative Selling:
Serve as a strategic advisor to technology Vendors, understanding their customer sales cycles and aligning financing to increase close rates, deal sizes, and speed to revenue.
- Reporting and CRM:
Maintain real-time visibility into your pipeline and vendor activity using our CRM system. Submit timely updates, call reports, and strategy briefs to leadership.
- Travel:
Attend technology trade shows, partner sales meetings, and client onsite visits as needed (up to 20%).
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 10 years of vendor financing sales experience, in technology financing.
- Proven track record working with IT VARs, OEMs, SaaS companies, or technology service providers.
- Industry Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of technology purchasing cycles, subscription-based revenue models, and the capital structures common in IT procurement.
- Familiarity with the Technology verticals such as healthcare IT, fintech, edtech, and enterprise software is a plus.
- Finance Expertise:
Ability to structure creative financing programs including operating leases, 0% financing, subscription models, deferred billing, and custom payment plans tailored to technology sales cycles.
- Sales Skills:
Strong consultative selling, prospecting, and negotiation skills. Ability to communicate complex financial solutions clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
