Senior Vice President of Business Development

Prefer East coast location

An Independent Equipment Finance company in business for over 40 years is seeking an experienced senior level leader for new business originations. The company is looking for an individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to attract sales talent to join this growth-oriented organization. This role is a member of the executive management team of the company and will be well compensated for attaining key new business benchmarks. This person also has the potential to receive an equity position in the company.

Responsibilities/Qualifications are as follows:

  • Proven track record in equipment financing/leasing.
  • Sales leadership experience within equipment finance/leasing.
  • Strong experience in the vendor channel.
  • Guide sales team in developing originations through cold calling, trade shows, networking and targeted e-mail marketing campaigns.
  • Solid expertise with CRM software (Salesforce.com).
  • Prior experience with an Independent is helpful as is experience with B- and C credits.
  • Experience with various collateral types.
  • Existing client relationships that could be transitioned.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least 7 to 10 years”- experience or significant industry experience.

The company offers a base salary, commission/bonus plus full benefits and a car allowance.
