Tax Analyst II

Cherry Hill, NJ

Our client, an international bank, is seeking an Intermediate Tax Analyst II that will report directly to the Tax Manager of the Tax Governance group and will be responsible for all duties related to the preparation and filing of U.S. federal compliance and monthly reporting, assisting in tax research projects, coordinate responses to notices from tax authorities, support department with developing and implementing process improvements, prepare other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Assist in the Tax Accounting Function including Monthly, quarterly, annual income tax provisions
  • Responsible for timely and accurate completion of Federal Tax Returns and Estimates
  • Assist in the preparation of tax footnotes for standalone financials
  • Assist in the calculation of the annualized effective tax rate Analysis
  • Preparation/review of Permanent and Deferred Tax workpapers
  • Coordination of projects for the planning team
  • Gathering data for audits in coordination with the Head of US Tax Audits
  • Assist with FIN48 Analysis
  • Assists in implementing any changes resulting from tax planning projects
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of operational/tax projects or special initiatives
  • Provides advice and guidance to Tax Management and/or business partners and appropriate stakeholders on a range of tax items
  • Contributes to the strategic direction of the Tax Function by keeping current on emerging issues, industry trends, and/or other relevant accounting changes
  • Knowledge of OneSource compliance and OneSource Provision software is a plus
  • High-level proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Excel


  • BA/BS Accounting
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be detailed oriented.
  • Ability to pursue complex projects to a final resolution
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
  • 2+ years related experience
  • CPA/MS/MBA (not mandatory)

Compensation: Based on candidate’s experience. Medical, Dental and 401K
