About the Job: Senior Account Executive (SFG-1)
We are growing our sales team and looking to add dynamic, high-performing Account Executives with experience building relationships and selling and over the phone. We are looking for professional salespeople with two (2) or more years of successful equipment financing sales experience. The ideal candidate has a history of bringing on new business, building relationships, and consistently hitting and exceeding sales quotas. This position offers a hands-on training program covering equipment types, equipment financing, finance terms, deal structure, underwriting, credit guidelines, relationship building and closing techniques. In this role, you will manage your own book of business by working with commercial equipment vendors, dealers, and business owners across the country, while educating them on TopMark Funding’s financing options and garnering their business. Solid performers will continuously hunt and close new business, hit and exceed quotas. Our Marketing department provides sales support in the form of qualified credit applications sourced by our marketing team.

We have formal Sales Offices with multiple Account Executives in Roseville, CA, Newport Beach, CA and Fort Worth, TX. Remote sales opportunities are available for those who would prefer to work from home or are not located near our sales offices. We currently have remote Account Executives working in CA, NH, TN, and TX. We are completely open to hiring talent where it resides (any city, any state, nationwide). This position offers tremendous room for growth within our expanding organization based on the ability to meet performance standards, as we have an established Sales Career Promotion Track for producing Account Executives. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit, sales leadership opportunities are available to top performers who prove themselves in the role of Account Executives. These team members can advance into a Sales Office Management roles and ultimately build and run their own TopMark office anywhere in the country.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of successful sales experience in equipment financing. We’re looking for individuals who have a history of bringing on new business and hitting their assigned sales quotas. People are adept at building relationships to create application flow from equipment vendors & dealers. Being familiar with commercial trucking and/or construction equipment financing is a huge plus as TopMark has a strong presence in these markets. Strong knowledge of Salesforce.com is a plus. Excellent communication over the phone and via email and ability to build relationships is required. High School diploma is required; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a concentration in Business Administration, Finance, or Communications related field is a plus, but not required.
Generation of new business
Creating and nurturing business relationships
Structuring equipment finance and working capital transactions
Manage the sales side of sourcing the client through funding the transaction
Create, Manage and maintain a consistent flow of transactions
Understand all steps needed to ensure the production of deals are moving forward
Negotiate agreements and keep records of sales and data using Salesforce.com
Identify eligibility requirements for financing and communicate these during calls
Proactively drive account management from application to funding to follow up for repeat business
Execute timely follow-up and lead management
Meet and exceed call activity targets, application targets, and most importantly, monthly sales quotas
Follow up with Credit/Funding departments to ensure all items required to fund the transaction are received
Review credit approvals and assist with training customers on what is required to receive faster approvals
Ideal candidates have the skills and intangibles below:
Ability and desire to sell and market to customers via the phone
Ability to close equipment financing transactions independently
Excellent communication (both written and verbal)
Ability to make outbound calls enthusiastically while sounding knowledgeable over the phone
Comes to work with a sense of urgency; enjoys challenges, competition and variety
Uses direct, action-oriented approach to solving problems, time management is key!
Works well within the framework of a team, while striving to excel individually
Great attendance, and availability to clients
Self-Motivated to succeed.
Compensation: Performance based compensation structure consisting of a competitive base salary, plus commission. We also offer a full commission package for those candidates who are confident in their sales skills and are looking to maximize their earning potential.
Sales Perks: All Account Executives at TopMark Funding are eligible to participate in Club $300K. This is an all-expenses paid sales trip which occurs annually for those Account Executives (and a guest) who exceed $300K in funded gross margin during the prior calendar year. The Top Sale producers works with ownership to select the destination. Last year the Club $300K winners went to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
