This week’s Foundation Friday showcase is the YMCA of Puerto Rico. The interview is with Ricardo Rios Sr, President and CEO of Commercial Equipment Finance Inc.
The YMCA is a non-profit institution with a 501(c)(3) classification, committed to Puerto Rico since the beginning of the movement on the Island in 1899. The YMCA of San Juan opened its doors to the youth on June 1, 1913, in its first facilities in Puerta de Tierra, and since then the institution has worked for the health and well-being of the community. For decades the institution has offered its programs and services to all populations, uniting children, youth and adults.
The impact of the YMCA’s mission represents a social investment aimed at strengthening communities. YMCA’s services are aimed at all family members, from infants to seniors and people with special needs. YMCA collaborates with third sector organizations and community groups; together we work for a better Puerto Rico.
