Katerina Jones, Fleet Advantage

Katerina Jones, Vice President, Marketing and Business Development

Katerina Jones has more than 20 years of client-centric and data-driven, integrated experience across broad B2B industries, including finance, transportation, healthcare and construction. Jones has a proven track record of developing strategic campaigns and customer programs that deliver above business benchmarks as reflected in bottom-line profits.

As vice president of marketing and business development at Fleet Advantage, Jones is a leader and mentor for other women in the equipment finance and transportation industries. Using her client-centric approach, she independently leads the marketing division, and her position directly involves onboarding new clients, including Fortune 100 companies and top 100 fleets. In her mind, it’s ‘always be helping’ rather than ‘always be closing.’

Jones has played a significant role in the success of Fleet Advantage’s business operations. In 2022 alone, she has been instrumental in acquiring new high-profile clients, resulting in more than $200 million of opportunities in lease originations. In 2021, she was also promoted to Fleet Advantage’s senior management group, allowing her to provide business oversight and create positive change within the organization.

Jones also is shaping America’s corporate fleets by educating equipment finance executives and advocating for solutions that help organizations with transportation fleets. Her impact has been highlighted through numerous past award recognitions, including Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s Third Annual Women in Supply Chain honor, the Transportation Marketing & Sales Association’s 2022 Top Brand Innovator award, South Florida Business Journal’s 2022 Influential Business Woman honor and the Women in Trucking Association’s 2022 Top Women to Watch in Transportation honor.

As an advocate for the advancement of women within the equipment finance industry, Jones has made podcast appearances, most recently discussing “the value of mentorship for women,” on the Monitor Podcast Series.

“It’s important for younger women to have other female mentors that can provide them with opportunities in the equipment finance industry and know that they have the support of growth from one another,” Jones says. “Through professional and personal guidance, younger women can be exposed to new ideas and different ways of thinking, which is crucial for growth. My advice is to be bold and take chances in work and in life.”

Jones is also involved in several charitable organizations, industry-related council positions and committees, including the National Private Truck Council for almost five years, where she is a member of the annual conference planning committee. She is highly regarded by this organization for her private fleet knowledge and dedication to the equipment finance industry. Jones has also served as a member of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association’s communications committee.

“Katerina embodies all the qualities of an effective female leader and her unwavering commitment to excellence has been instrumental in the success of Fleet Advantage. Her innovative and client-centric focus improves the clarity and transparency of our messaging and helps us connect with America’s top truck fleets on timely and relevant issues,” Brian Holland, president and CFO of Fleet Advantage, says. “She has authored nearly two dozen articles and is highly regarded as a thought leader within the leasing, transportation and supply chain industries. Katerina places a high priority on mentoring and supporting other professional women in Fleet Advantage and is a strong advocate for a more diverse workplace and the advancement of women within the transportation industry.”
