Kendra Rothschild values teambuilding and strives to create a fun work environment by regularly planning employee gatherings and outings. This year, she hosted the AllStaff Summer Bash, a three-day employee get-together for Quality Equipment Finance (formerly Quality Leasing) that included laser tag, bowling, boating, meetings and meals. With so many staff members working remotely across the United States, Rothschild feels it is imperative to the overall wellbeing of the company that employees feel included and have opportunities to bond with each other throughout the year.

As controller and a member of the senior management team at Quality Equipment Finance, Rothschild leads by example every day. She supervises the organization’s back office, including documentation, funding, human resources, security interests, titling, pledging and accounting tasks. Rothschild has been integral in growing Quality’s portfolio over her Il-year career with the firm. Her commitment to company-wide improvement has been particularly evident over the last two years while she supervised successful implementations of DocuSign, E-Originals, electronic notary services, SalesForce and the entire team’s conversion to cloud computing.

Though Rothschild emphasizes efficiency through technology, she maintains the idea that the people, not programming, are Quality’s most valuable resource. Her unique management style includes an emphasis on cross-training her entire staff so each person has the knowledge and skills to wear multiple hats and help when a co-worker needs additional support. She says that you never know when you are going to get an influx of document or funding requests, so cross-training is a vital part of the process as it helps keep production high and processing times low.

I believe the equipment finance industry is a great place to build a career and break down barriers,” Rothschild says. “l enjoy every opportunity to find creative financing solutions for our customers while securing revenue for our organization. The sky is truly the limit.” Rothschild’s professional mission is to break down the barrier between revenue-generating and non-revenue-generating employees. With many companies struggling to manage the differing agendas of sales and administration teams, Rothschild stresses that every person plays an important role in the funding process. She contends that no one can complete their job without other team members’ support and knowledge.

While Rothschild has many noteworthy accomplishments, she was extremely proud to earn her Certified Lease & Finance Professional designation in 2016. She felt the certification solidified her belonging in the commercial equipment finance field after she spent many years in the aviation, golf and construction industries. However, her team members believe she has always belonged.
