Lynda Wilson

Linda Wilson, Contract Manager, Dext Capital

Lynda Wilson became part of the initial Dext Capital team when she joined the company in December 2018, bringing along more than 30 years of experience in documentation and back-office servicing with her, Across her career, she has led numerous portfolio conversions and system migrations involving bank-owned, independent and captive portfolios.

“Our industry provides a wide variety of roles and responsibilities, so there is an abundance of opportunity for personal and professional growth,” Wilson says, noting how much she loves working at Dext. “It’s great to work at a collaborative company where everyone, no matter their role, is encouraged to contribute and make recommendations for improvement. You never know when a ‘spark’ from a new idea can lead to a bright and new endeavor.”

“Recently, Dext brought on our first group of private label programs. These programs touch most areas of a leasing company, from sales, documentation, customer service, collections and all customer facing aspects of our business,” Eric Gross, chief operating officer of Dext Capital, says. “Under the best of circumstances, it’s a big job, especially if it’s the first for a company. Lynda led the implementation of these programs and had them up and fully functional in a few weeks, which was quite remarkable but a testament to her knowledge of these implementations.” Wilson’s career in equipment finance started when she was working with Idaho First National Bank. When the bank formed an equipment finance group, it gave her the opportunity to learn the business from the ground up.

After Idaho First National Bank was acquired by U.S. Bank, Wilson was selected to work on the transition team responsible for migrating the portfolio to a common system. Wilson then went on to manage the contract accounting team at U.S. Bank Equipment Finance. Always progressing, Wilson later moved on to Portfolio Financial Servicing Company. Over the next 10 years, Wilson managed more than two dozen portfolio conversions, which helped her learn the “secret sauce” from each portfolio.

In 2007, Wilson joined Bank of the West as vice president and operations manager for the bank’s equipment finance division’s third-party servicing business, This role tapped into her experience in portfolio management, portfolio conversions, compliance, sales, team building and management. Wilson was instrumental in building the business and oversaw portfolios in excess of $5 billion.

Wilson has mentored many others over the course of her career as a kind and strong leader. She finds it rewarding to see others flourish. Giving back to the community is also important to Wilson. She was recognized as a top volunteer by Idaho First National Bank during her time there and, most notably, she served on the board of directors of ReFit Portland, a nonprofit organization in Oregon whose mission is “making homes safer and lives easier for physically and financially challenged homeowners.” Wilson has also served as a volunteer coordinator for Toys for Tots for several years.
