Eldon Richards is responsible for the company’s overall technology strategy, direction and execution. He has extensive experience in forming teams that excel at swiftly responding to market technology needs and continuously improving quality. Richard joined IDS from Recondo, where he served as Chief Technology Officer. At Recondo, Richard managed the company’s SaaS offerings and led innovation with artificial intelligence and natural language processing. Previously, he led product development and technology teams across the enterprise at PatientPoint, UnitedHealth Group and Optum. Richard’s career at UnitedHealth Group and Optum spanned 18 years, including leading worldwide teams that developed groundbreaking products such as Optum’s Enterprise Computer Assisted Coding, and successfully deployed hundreds of production releases every year. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the University of Utah, an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, and graduate certificates in management and technology from Stanford University and the Washington University in St Louis.

As Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Emmel is responsible for global professional services, support and product management including defining the company’s product strategy. With more than 30 years of experience, she is a proven leader and instrumental member of the IDS Executive Team. Prior to her appointment as COO, Ms. Emmel was SVP product management and product marketing and held several key senior leadership roles within IDS.

Ms. Emmel serves on the Equipment Leasing & Finance Foundation (ELFF)’s Board of Trustees and Research and Development Committee, the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA)’s Technology Innovation Work Group and previously served on the (ELFA)’s Operations and Technology Committee.

Kirk Phillips
President & Ceo, Wintrust Commercial Finance

Kirk Phillips is president, CEO and co-founder of Wintrust Commercial Finance, a subsidiary of Wintrust Financial Corporation. Phillips has spent over 30 years in the commercial finance industry, beginning with ITT Commercial Finance. Phillips was on the team that started up two highly successful de novo commercial finance companies, Transamerica Equipment Financial Services and AIG Commercial Equipment Finance. He held leadership positions as senior vice president of national Direct Originations, as well as, head of the Marine Finance Group. Philips managed the integration of the Commercial Asset Finance division into the Private Placements Group of AIG Investments where he held the position of Managing Director.

In 2015, Phillips joined with long time colleagues to form Wintrust Commercial Finance which is focused on providing loans and leases to middle market companies throughout the US and Canada.

Phillips has been a speaker at a number of conferences. He has served as Chairman of the Equipment Finance and Leasing Association’s Financial Institutions Business Steering Council and has served on the Membership Committee and ELFA Advocacy Committee.
