The American Association of Commercial Finance Brokers announced that Kyla Rangaard, a high school senior in Canby, MN, is the winner of its 2022 educational scholarship.

In October of 2020, the AACFB announced the new scholarship program, which is open to high school seniors and students attending a trade or technical school in addition to those attending a two- or four-year institution of higher learning. Rangaard will be the second recipient of the scholarship and will receive an award of $500.

The AACFB’s scholarship task force was impressed with Rangaard’s record as a member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Youth Against Misusing Substances. She is also the president of the Oshkosh Wide Awakes 4-H Club and captain of her school’s volleyball team. Rangaard has also been on the honor roll throughout her high school career.

“Thank you so much for selecting me for this scholarship,” Rangaard said. “I will be putting the money towards my future at Minnesota State University, Mankato. It will be very helpful to me this upcoming year and I really appreciate it.”

Rangaard was recommended by Jaci Weber from American Financial Partners.

“I am so excited that Kyla Rangaard was selected to be the recipient of the AACFB scholarship,” Weber said. “She is a great kid and is very deserving of this scholarship. She is a leader academically and athletically. She is a motivated individual, hardworking and dependable, just the person you would want on your team or as a friend.”

The AACFB hopes to grow the scholarship fund and increase the award amounts in the future. Donations to the scholarship fund may be made here.
