AACFB Announces Scholarship Winner

The American Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (AACFB) announced Aislynn Gonzalez as the winner of 2023 AACFB Scholarship. The task force also wanted to recognize Grant McClendon.

In October of 2020, the AACFB announced the new scholarship program open to high school seniors and students attending a trade or technical school in addition to those attending a two or four-year institutions of higher learning. Gonzalez, a high school senior in McDonough, GA, will be the third recipient of the scholarship and will receive an award of $3,000.

The Scholarship Task Force was impressed with Gonzalez’s record as being a member of several clubs and participating in multiple sports. Gonzalez has been able to maintain a 4.0 GPA throughout her high school career.

“The AACFB scholarship will help me this upcoming semester by paying for my food and dorm,” Gonzalez said. “Thanks to the kindness of the association, I can now focus on my studies in business and law, moving one step closer to my aspirations of becoming the first college graduate in my family!”

Runner-Up Scholarship Recipient

The AACFB Scholarship task force received numerous applications for this year’s scholarship, making the decision extremely difficult. In addition to Gonzalez, the task force also wanted to recognize Grant McClendon for his efforts. McClendon is currently attending the University of Oklahoma and will receive an award of $1,000.

“I will use the AACFB scholarship while studying for the LSAT so I can dedicate more time to the test without having to maintain employment,” McClendon said.
