According to a new report from Research and Markets, competition in the global aircraft leasing market will be dominated by four major players from 2016 to 2020. The four firms are AerCap, Air Lease, GECAS and BOC Aviation.

Additionally, the report indicated that the global aircraft leasing market is projected to rise tremendously in the next four to five years. The increase will come about due to increasing air passenger traffic, rising GDP per-capita and increasing international tourist level, among other factors. However, the market faces some challenges such as high maintenance of aircrafts, social and geo-political upheaval, foreign exchange volatility and intense competition.
