Air Canada Turns Profit by Flipping 787s

The Globe and Mail reported that Air Canada is making a profit by selling some of the 787s in its fleet and then leasing them back to itself.

Specifically, the Globe and Mail said the airline gained $19 million by selling two planes in 2016 for $351 million and the leasing them back.

According to the Globe and Mail, Air Canada plans to sell approximately 10 of the 37 787s to be delivered to it by Boeing through 2019.
