Amembal Appointed Chief Advisor to Sino-Foreign Joint Venture



Amembal & Halladay announced that Sudhir P. Amembal, its chairman and CEO, has been appointed chief advisor to China Minsheng International Financial Leasing (CMIFL).

CMIFL is a Sino-Foreign financial leasing joint venture that was established in April 2015 between China Minsheng Investment (CMI) and Hana Bank of South Korea. CMI is the first large national-level private investment company launched by 59 well-known private Chinese entities. Its registered capital is $8 billion, and its business encompasses equity investments, equity investment management, business and financial consulting, industrial investment and asset management. Hana Bank is the largest bank in South Korea.

CMIFL plans to have a presence in both Chinese and overseas markets. Its business strategy is to engage in leasing via investments and to support investments via leasing. Its core business will comprise of aviation, shipping and alternative energy equipment.

Amembal stated, “I am honored to serve as the chief advisor to CMIFL. It has a unique global strategy, is richly capitalized, and will benefit from the vast network provided by both CMI and Hana Bank. In addition, its senior management is comprised of extremely well-experienced and reputable Chinese leasing professionals.”
