Associated Bank Expands Commercial Operations in Kansas City with New Hires

Associated Banc-Corp has expanded its commercial banking presence in Kansas City, Missouri, adding three experienced bankers to lead growth in the region.

Matt Flynn, Alexander Burke and Mitchell Hind joined the bank’s commercial team this month as part of the second phase of Associated’s strategic expansion plan. The hires are part of the Green Bay-based company’s ongoing effort to grow in the Midwest and enter new markets organically.

Flynn will serve as business segment and region leader, overseeing operations in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas, as well as leading a new industry vertical focused on short line rail clients. He was previously a senior vice president and team leader at U.S. Bank.

Burke will take on the role of team leader and Kansas City market leader. He also joins from U.S. Bank, where he held leadership positions in commercial banking over a 12-year tenure.

Hind, with more than two decades of experience in financial services, will serve as senior vice president and relationship manager. He previously spent seven years with U.S. Bank, focusing on commercial banking in the region.

According to the company, this latest expansion follows a broader hiring push across key markets. The bank said it increased its relationship manager headcount by more than 25%, building out expertise in treasury management, capital markets and other corporate banking services.

Associated Banc-Corp is Wisconsin’s largest bank holding company, with $43 billion in assets. It operates nearly 200 locations across Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota, with additional loan production offices in several other states.
