Bank of America Names Kremers President of San Diego, Succeeding Bregman

Bank of America has named Mark Kremers president of Bank of America San Diego. As president and head of the market, Kremers will connect clients, teammates and communities to the full power of the franchise and drive integration across the bank’s eight lines of business. He succeeds Rick Bregman, who successfully led the market for 16 years and retired in December after 34 years with the company.

“Rick had a tremendous impact over the last 34 years with our company, delivering the full breadth of Bank of America to our San Diego clients and community and growing market share. We thank him for his leadership and look forward to continued growth and success with Mark becoming the next San Diego president,” Brian Moynihan, chairman and CEO of Bank of America, said. “Mark is well positioned to help our San Diego clients improve their financial lives and deliver responsible growth.”

Kremers joined the company in 2015 and has held numerous leadership roles within Merrill Wealth Management. A 30-year veteran in finance, he is currently the Merrill market executive for San Diego and the Inland Empire, where he leads a team of more than 300 advisors and associates who manage $38 billion in assets. He will continue in his Merrill role while serving as San Diego president. Kremers worked alongside Bregman over the past decade, serving as a key member of the local leadership team.

Born and raised in San Diego, Kremers is actively engaged in the local community, serving on the board of directors of Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. He is also actively engaged with the company’s various employee networks.
