Bankers Capital President and CLFP Foundation Board Member LaChance Passes Away



Larry LaChance, CLFP, president of Bankers Capital and a board member of the Certified Lease & Finance Professional Foundation, passed away in January, according to a report from Leasing News.

LaChance spent 32 years with Bankers Capital and was also a founding member of First Beacon Advisory Group since 2012.

“The CLFP Foundation lost one of its board members this past weekend, Larry ‘Last Chance’ LaChance, CLFP, president at Bankers Capital. Just two weeks ago, he was with us in Arizona at our board retreat and told everyone about what a special time he had just had with his family in Disneyworld. His wit and can-do attitude will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and colleagues as there truly was no one like him,” Reid Raykovich, CEO of the CLFP Foundation said.

The National Equipment Finance Association Bord of Directors provided the following statement: “The National Equipment Finance Association (NEFA) Board of Directors, members and staff express our heartfelt support for the family of Larry LaChance, Bankers Capital, who passed away recently. Larry was a huge supporter of the industry he loved so much and would help anyone in need. His infectious smile and outgoing personality will be missed dearly by all that knew him. We send our condolences to Larry’s family during this difficult time.”

The board and staff of the American Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (AACFB) provided the following statement: “The board and staff of the American Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (AACFB) wish to express their sincerest condolences to the family of Larry LaChance with Bankers Capital. Larry was a much-beloved member of the commercial finance industry and the association. He was a staple at industry events and will be remembered for his ever-ready smile and his willingness to share his experience with others. Larry’s loss will be deeply felt by the scores of friends and colleagues he built long-lasting relationships with through the years. His memory will be treasured by all who knew him.”
