Bartz Joins Hancock Whitney Equipment Finance as SVP

Hancock Whitney welcomed Bill Bartz as senior vice president of the bank’s equipment finance group.

“The Gulf South’s current growth trend demands experienced professionals who can help clients navigate the financing needed for capital equipment through access to national and diverse sources of funding,” Chris Bucher, head of commercial finance for Hancock Whitney, said. “We feel extremely fortunate to welcome Bill to our team. His extensive experience and deep understanding of the industry will be invaluable to bring new, customized financial solutions for clients across our footprint.”

Bartz brings more than three decades of experience to his role at Hancock Whitney, with proficiency leading strategy and planning, business development and go-to-market planning for equipment finance solutions. Bartz joins Hancock Whitney after recently serving as an executive at a global financing company responsible for developing complex payment structures for Fortune 10 accounts and leading nationwide teams.

“Hancock Whitney provides a much-needed alternative as an independent financier of a litany of equipment, ranging from healthcare and tech to rolling stock, marine and air,” Bartz said. “The Hancock Whitney Equipment Finance group has extremely deep industry expertise from an operational, credit and equipment valuation side, providing a unique position to understand a client’s goals and objectives and to provide very tailored solutions to achieve those goals.”

Bartz, who resides in Austin, Texas, is a graduate of University of the Pacific.
