Bell Bank Hires Flaten as SVP of Credit Risk, Regulatory Affairs

Bell Bank hired Steve Flaten as senior vice president of credit risk and regulatory affairs. In his role, Flaten will serve as a liaison with all bank regulatory agencies and assist Bell with credit risk identification, measurement and monitoring policies and practices.

“We’re very excited to have a person of Steve’s caliber and experience join us to establish this new role at Bell,” Michael Solberg, president and CEO of Bell Bank, said. “His years of experience in working with banks through the FDIC give him great insights and vast knowledge that will help us navigate the regulatory environment as we continue our rapid growth.”

Originally from Hatton, ND, Flaten recently retired from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation after a 33-year career.
