Bloomberg: AirAsia’s Sale of Leasing Unit Could Close in December

According to Bloomberg, AirAsia expects to make roughly $1 billion from the sale of its aircraft leasing unit, which could close in December at the earliest.

Bloomberg noted that AirAsia is the largest customer for single-aisle jets from Airbus.

Bloomberg also reported that the possible sale of the leasing arm could help the company, which had debt of more than $2 billion at the end of June.
