Boeing reported that Boeing Capital revenues for Q3/16 were $63 million, down from $114 million in Q3/15, marking a drop of 55.3%. Boeing Capital’s operating profit in the quarter ($13 million) was up from the $10 million reported in Q3/15.
For the first nine months of 2016, revenues and earnings from operations were $211 million and $36 million, respectively, down from $315 million and $41 million a year earlier.
Boeing noted at Q2/15-end Boeing Capital’s net portfolio balance was $3.7 billion.
Boeing noted its Commercial Airplanes deliveries of 188 in Q3/16 and 563 for the first nine months of 2016. Those readings were down from 199 and 580, respectively, year over year. Boeing booked 107 net orders during Q3/16 and has a backlog of nearly 5,600 aircraft valued at $409 billion.
