Burger Believes GECAS Safe from Possible GE Breakup



Reuters reported that Alec Burger, chief executive of GECAS, does not anticipate a sale of the company by GE.

Citing comments made by Burger at the Airline Economics conference in Dubling, Reuters said that the “stable returns and global footprint” are what makes GECAS an attractive division.

Last week, the Wall Street Journal reported that, during a conference call, GE CEO John Flannery said the company is considering breaking off its major divisions into separately traded units.
