Canadian Small Business Lending Rises Slightly in May



Reuters reported, citing data from PayNet, that Canadian May small business lending increased slightly compared to April.

The Canadian small business lending index from PayNet rose to 118.7 in May from 118.4 in April, Reuters said. However, the index measuring lending to medium-sized businesses dropped from 217.8 to 213.5.

In addition, Reuters noted that the 30-day delinquency rate for both small- and medium-sized businesses rose to 1.34% from 1.28%.
