Canadian Small Business Lending Slides Back in January



According to Reuters, citing data from PayNet, small business lending in Canada lowered in January.

Reuters said PayNet’s Canadian small business lending index slid to 120.3 in January, down from a 121.9 reading in December and 6% on a year-over-year basis.

Reuters noted that although small business lending fell, borrowing by larger Canadian firms increased.
