Cat Dealer Sues Employee for Alleged Misconduct



According to the Cook County Record, an Elmhurst, IL-based Caterpillar dealer sued a former employee for offering promotional deals to customers in order to increase his year-end bonus.

The Record reported that the dealer, Patten Industries, also accused the employee of putting together a $15 million deal with a Chicago area contracting firm under which the employee “rushed the deal to inflate a year-end bonus.”

According to the Record, the dealer hopes to extract approximately $9 million for the alleged misconduct of this employee.
