In August, Brazilian Cat dealers Pesa and Sotreq partnered with Ritchie Bros. to sell a large number of equipment items through Ritchie Bros.’ new online sales solution, Marketplace-E.

The multi-day sale attracted bidders from 23 countries hoping to get a deal on late model Cat excavators, motor graders, wheel loaders, dozers, soil stabilizers, rollers and more. The sales event closed on August 25 with two onsite events at Pesa and Sotreq locations in Curitiba and Sumaré, Brazil.

The items offered in the sale attracted over 1,440 bids by people from Brazil, Colombia, the Netherlands, Spain, Australia, the UAE, the U.S. and many other countries.

Launched in late 2017, Ritchie Bros.’ Marketplace-E is designed to offer sellers more control over the selling price and process, with ‘Make Offer’ and ‘Buy Now’ options. Equipment items are inspected ahead of time and sold from the owner’s premises (if requested).
