Century Tokyo Leasing announced the change of its corporate name effective October 1, 2016 to Tokyo Century (USA). This change brings the company into alignment with the other global Tokyo Century operating units and is intended to reflect the broad mission of the American subsidiary.
“By removing the reference to ‘leasing’ from our company name, we are making clear that we are no longer simply a leasing and financing organization,” said Tiger Ogawa, president of Tokyo Century in the U.S. “Our parent company, our global affiliates and we wish to clearly acknowledge the broad scope of services we provide in the financial services industry while at the same time highlighting our potential for continued growth.”
The Tokyo Century companies have updated corporate philosophy, corporate slogan and management philosophy in accordance with the new name.
“The new philosophy makes clear our steadfast determination to be a unique, highly-creative financial services company that develops business in new domains by integrating finance, services and business functions,” said Ogawa. “It also reflects our continuing commitment to working alongside customers in pursuit of the customers’ growth, while at the same time focusing on economic sustainability and civic responsibility. We will continue our tradition of conducting business with vigor and sincerity, being ever-mindful of our social obligations.”
